¿Question #1026?

kathleenryan: Yes, indirectly while in high school. My biology lab partner came in and told me she wanted to die and had taken some pills. Then she asked the substitute teacher if she could go to the bathroom. I was stunned about what she had just told me. After I collected my wits, I asked if I could go to the restroom also. I talked to her and convinced her she needed to go to the office so they could call an amulance and get her to the hospital. (This was before cell phones were invented.) Some adult called and the ambulance came and took her, and her life was saved.

bekudno: Once, I was driving a car full of people on the highway, a car changed lanes in front of me, and in front of it there was a stopped car. There wasn't time for me to break, and I could only go to the right, because I was in the left-most lane, but there was a car on my right. Somehow I managed to swerve around the stopped car without scraping it or the car on my right, and snapped back into the left lane. So I guess that might qualify.
