Gamesmeister99: Stevie Ray Vaughn (Eric Clapton would be next)!
Malicious Compliance: Waaay too many great guitarists to just pick one, so I'll say my top 3 (in no particular order) Randy Rhoads, Eddie VanHalen and Herman Li.
joebelanger: me, but I've never played.
vandemonium: Tough one! Eddy Van Halen then Jimmy Page, then Slash.
Spatulaguy: Stephen Mason.
kathleenryan: Stevie Ray Vaughan.
Blade Spirit: oh, wish I knew. Sadly I am not very good at remembering names.
ZeroZilla: Tough to say. I have respect for Hendrix and also Van Halen, but the bluesmen are my favorites... just not for too long at any one time. I really like Stevie Ray Vaughn, when he's playing sad music, but much of his music was up-tempo. The same goes for Eric Clapton, who's Unplugged and From the Cradle CDs are staples of mine.

And also Glenn Tipton from Judas Priest. Heck, the guy from Blind Guardian is also good, along with the guy from Hammerfall. In fact, I do like the guiarist from Kamelot, Dave Mustaine from Megadeth, and also Marty Friedman, previously of Megadeth, but before that he was solo, and before that he was Cacophony with David Becker. Nuno from Extreme was pretty good, ooh!! I know Paul Gilbert from Racer X is excellent. And I like the guitarist from Sentenced. Blackie Lawless and the other guy from WASP. Yngwie Malmsteen!!! And John Sykes, ex Whitesnake, now Blue Murder, not a nad guitarist either. Can't forget the infamous Steve Vai or Joe Saturani. Zack Wylde, of Ozzy fame, and George Lynch from Dokken. Oh there's so many more to choose from! The guitarist from Fates Warning, like the three guitarists from Leatherwolf, the guy from Manowar (I really should remember his name!), the guy from Nevermore, the guy from Overkill. Does he have to be alive, cos Pantera should get a moment of respect, as should Randy Rhoads. Does Bass guitarist count? Cos I really like the bassist from Soilwork he was sik! And also Jeff Pilson from Dokken, Mike from Evergrey, (and so forth....)
