ValJor: Do you wish the space to answer a GeekQuestion were bigger so that you wouldn't have to move back and forward by word after you gave a long answer?

I mean, I suppose if you had that memory issue that the guy in memento had, so you forgot what you did like two minutes before, sure, I suppose it's a problem. But in the end, the legnth of the bar is fine, and you can't forget what you said at the start.

MikeMKH: Maybe, but is it really that hard to go backwards and forwards to see what you typed? You could just type everything in OpenOffice (what is this Word you talk about) and look it over and then use copy-and-paste. Or you could just not proof read. Either way it is not really an issue. :)
ZeroZilla: You could leave the length the same, but just have the text wrap, and the box expand line by line downward, as my answer grew. I often have trouble going over what I've written, as I tend to give detailed (some would say 'long-winded', no doubt) answers.

Sideburn: Oh yes, please!!! That would be utterly fantastic! I must state that moving back and forth really makes me loose track of the answer I was originally giving. Therefor many of my answers will probably mean either nothing or something which is in fact not an answer to the question sked... Either way; I find it quite annoying... What? Annoying? How do you spell that? Satisfying enough... Blahblahblah...

KnobDoctor: I try to refrain from giving long answers for precisely this reason. Clearly they should have used a large text box in the form for the site. But they didn't do that, did they? NOOOOOO. So now we have to stick with short answers unless we want to deal with having to waste an entire afternoon scrolling back and forth through the dinky text form they gave us. I find it to be inexcusable, but until they fix it, I will NEVER give a long answer.

Nightmare: I don't usually leave long rambling answers that scroll off the space provided; but if I did I imagine it could be quite anoying. Really, a text box area with sliders would be much nicer... that way if I ever did leave a really long answer, I would not have to be annoyed at the very small text area that they have provided which is really not big enough for long answers. But I don't leave long rambling answers, so not a problem!
