Cromaa: Duel of Ages
SybotCB: Rock, Paper, Scissors
brainrob: Gipf
jasta6: Carcassonne (Rio Grande Games).........................................................................................................
mlanza: I would say that only abstracts are good candidates. Most people I know will only ever play a particular themed eurogame about 40 or 50 times if its a great one, and then not play it much after that. That said, why read a book? But, since I know a few fellows who have played certain euros hundreds of times, I'll suggest those games: Acquire, Settlers
Helenoftroy: Go! The book works great too.
sourwyrm: PR
dietevil: I don't care, I play for fun and wouldn'

Longbow: E&T
polychemist: rock, paper, scissors
POvidiusNaso: Puerto Rico. It'd help with the newbie "problem"

MisterCranky: Shogi perhaps, or Skaet.
Lord_Prussian: MtG or YINSH
CharlieWonka: American Football
sineadk: T&E
mcbeth: Dvonn
Gamegrunt: Backgammon
2amp: i hate to say this - mtg
Knowbody: Power Grid
CapAp: Puerto Rico
Belash: Candyland
Aldie: Mu
snoozefest: monopoly
Randy Cox: Baseball simulations--and the books are already there (statistics encyclopedias). The game that surely does not deserve a book would be Puerto Rico--there's already a book here in the forums.
heli: Gipf series
jens_hoppe: Magic: The Gathering
HappyProle: Honestly I think you'd have to do a compendium. I can't see a book on any other single game. Perhaps Settlers.. just because it might be popular enough.

puffinge: Magic
pernishus: Puerto Rico, followed by Euphrat and Tigris. Wouldn't that be an interesting read?
louiseh: Can't think of any
geberus: Backgammon
Blackwind: who buys those things?
Linnaeus: Probably another top-level abstract like YINSH or GIPF.
jttm: PR
BrokenNails_NZ: Puerto Rico
ynnen: Wallenstein or Princes of Florence
chaddyboy_2000: Your mom.
CortexBomb: Probably games from the GIPF project
CDRodeffer: Hex. Oh wait, that's been done. Then, Mancala. Hey, that's been done too! Hmmm. Mah Jongg? Monopoly? Backgammon? Checkers? No, all previously done. How about
BobDodgerBlue: Magic (yeah, keep the boos down)
ValJor: PR, of course. But La Città is also deep.
skelebone: Perhaps something for new "classic" abstract strategy games, like the GIPF series.
