¿Question #1227?
[Deleted user]: [deleted question]
Spirit of 70: Just let people play and quit griping.
pwilz: I usually avoid such people.
Fairer Sex: Grouse all you want. That's the whole point of Puerto Rico, isn't it?
cgund: ..
Gemlin: Never played
aleo09: no
DHEK: The more players there are, I think the more chances there are of other people's idiotic plays screwing up your game. So with 4 or 5 players you should get more allowance to grouse than in a 3-player game.
Elf__Man: sigh
Forkboy: Of course. Half the fun is the grumbling.
Brentoon: *grunt*
Mr_Six: Yes
daveroswell: this always gets me. A good player can improvise well, no matter what the palyer next to him does (and yeah, I'm ok at PR but not brilliant)
ZombyDawg: Does Puerto Rico have rules for grousing? That would suck. I would really hate that. I don't know if I'd want to play a game that disallowed grousing. Dang! That's unamerican. I'll bet some damn liberal thought that someone might get their feelings hurt if there were grousing and decided that it should be banned. That's how these things start, you know. Sure, you think you are solving a problem and then everything goes all to Hell! And another thing . . .
POvidiusNaso: No way.
WatchmanX2000: if you're in the game, I can grouse no matter what to any length I want, Josh. next....
LemonyFresh: Hmpf.
brainrob: We don't whinge
mgoddard: no idea
Bandit Ripshawd: Nope... idiotic plays are part of PR... keeping your opponent's off guard.
arkibet: yes, but nobody needs to care.
puffinge: you are allowed, but a greater amount of scorn will be heaped upon you
skrutsch: never played with 3
kimapesan: No.
obob: depends on whether you want to win or just have fun. If you want to win, DON'T EDUCATE THEM
CharlieWonka: Not Sure
ngymish: Why would you grouse if your opponents choose idiotic plays? Isn't that a cause for celebration?
Lord_Prussian: Seems like the same amount in any
HappyProle: More grousing for 3P. With 5 player you should grouse just because you somehow got conned into playing a 5P.
Belash: no comment
berserkley: I think the level of Grousitude is independent of # of players. If you are playing 2 other skilled players, it's better than playing with 4 or 5 Lame-o players.
Raintiger: Nope, I play games for fun
snoozefest: grouse at all times
MisterCranky: No, if you grouse you must die, no matter what the number of players. Why do people really think it's okay to bitch at other players about ANYTHING in Puerto Rico?
djlg: Yes. Grousing is a god-given right of all gameplayers in any game.
2amp: never played
jpact: Yes, Yes, Yes.
Wintergoblin: no
shawn_low: I grouse all the time. Next...
Ebonwoulfe: Never played PR, but I imagine in 3 player games your plans are less likely to be fudged because you determine 33% of the game, as opposed to 25% and 20% for bigger games... of course, the donk has 33% of the choices as well...
Salt-Man Z: I think with 3 players, an idiotic play will hurt you less than it will with more players.
gnomehome: 5-4=3-2
BobDodgerBlue: Why grouse when your opponent(s) make mistakes?
Grimwold: dunno haven't played PR
yossarians: no, no and no
louiseh: Sure, provided you don't want them to play with you again
GuyHill: Just win, dont whine
Blackwind: you should be fined if you grouse about anything.
CDRodeffer: Idiotic plays are bad no matter how many players there are.
chaddyboy_2000: I don't care.
ValJor: It doesn't matter the number of players nor the game, grouse away!
ynnen: Absolutely. The fewer people, the quieter you get to grouse, though.
CortexBomb: I think anyone who bitches in PR is a bastard, regardless of the number of people seated
jttm: Nahhh... just swap seats so the bad plays are distributed evenly
skelebone: I've played 1 player games of PR and groused my ass off.
