¿Question #1410?
kimbo: Twilight Imperium III - Do you think the Imperial Strategy Card (ISC) breaks the game?

aleo09: haven't played it.
gokiburijin: no
Narl: Sure it does as my paper slicer will as soon as I come across it.
Woelf: You seem to think so, but I've never played it.
GrimJester: If you say so then I do.
atrium: no, this is not an opinion that I hold. (probably because i dont know what it is)
Thegreatrob: no
albers: Modify it to just give 1 Victory Point and play the game to 8 total points and it works ok.
zennoshinjou: ill tell you once ive played it
Turek: no
Sceadeau: Yeppers
DHEK: No. Why does it?
ping9x: No
tagger418: Not is you use the alternates
McGuit: No
greglios: I haven't played it.
vampywife: it certainly makes it less entertaining, hence why we developed a house rule when we played regarding it's use.
Dorque: Yup.
brainrob: Never played
mats-k: No. It's wonky but fixable.
John3: no
jasta6: haven't played this one.......................................
defcon311: No, people that think it is a cheap way to win are the ones too caught up in the tech, war, or trade to stop someone who uses the ISC.
Mordachai: Havn't played the game, can't answer.
locusshifter: No
bigbadsteve: sometimes
Geese: n/a
Quest22: The entire game is broken
scriptorum: I dunno
SenorOcho: The game takes a VERY long time with 6 players without something to speed things up.
javelin98: Nah. It just adds one more plot element.
Loquutus: Absolutely not. It can be unfair if it goes out of order. Everyone needs to realize that if they can choose the 8 or 1, they must pick one of those.
jellospike: never played that game
sourwyrm: it does prevent the game from takig forever
meshuggener: No. There is something else broken with this game.
Lord_Prussian: Yes, if you don't play with some sort of modified rules.
seppo21: I've never played.
WasQ: I not played yet (we planed a session for June 11th), but it seems to me that perhaps it too powerfull. Maybe as I read in BGG is for shorten the game...anyhow a powerfull card.
skrutsch: I agree with echoota. I've never played the game, but you have to trust someone who uses vp in their answer.
snoozefest: haven't played
djlg: No. Its too light to break a game of that weight.
rawk: no
Tim Synge: Don't know. And don't plan to find out.
MisterCranky: Well, as far as I know it fits in the box on store shelves. Anything it does after that is probably the owner's fault.
2amp: never played
solove: Don't care
ptper: only if i've ever played it...which i havenm't
isolated: Yes. But what other alternative is there?
fellonmyhead: Quite possibly; I have yet to play.
echoota: It's tweakable... I kind of like the 1vp for the card + 1vp if Mectrol Rex is occupied suggestion.
Shakar: No, it set a faster beat to the game.
gnomehome: Never played
[Deleted user]: Not if you reduce it to 1vp
Belash: never played it, but I am going to guess no
sumo: It doesn't break it, it just makes things a little odd. Use the variant.
GuyHill: yes
BobDodgerBlue: Never played
CDRodeffer: Never played.
Blackwind: Haven't played.
jttm: Nope
skelebone: I bet it does.
CortexBomb: I haven't played it, but based on what I've read about it, it is a serious issue that could have been solved by another, easier to implement clock system
ynnen: Absolutely not. But it must be respected and understood by all the players.
Spielfreak: dunno
chaddyboy_2000: Dunno.
