¿Question #1434?
JoeSteadman: Do you mind player elimination?
pwilz: Only if you can get eliminated early and the game can last a long time, because now what the hell am I supposed to do?
pricero1: Where it really sucks is in this game we call "life".
ricardofo: Nope
Woelf: Depends on the game and how it's handled, but generally I don't mind it. It's preferable to being trapped in an unwinnable position for an extended period of time while waiting for the game to finish.
Caerid: It gets boring if you are the one targeted for elimination by the other players.
-Johnny-: No
Randy Cox: Don't you want to play this game no more?
Tushratta: Not on the carpet.
meijerc: **BANG** You have just been eliminated.
jegan22280: I don't like it
Felimid: No. As long as they do it in the bathroom ... or someone has a broom and dustpan to sweep up all the piles of dust (pew pew pew ... what an awful picture *that* is).
Lacota: Depends on the game, some games that should have it don't. I hate games where you can languish in last with no hope.
kJev: As long as this doesn't concern me
zilchgames: i love it, you lost, now go get more beer...then play nintendo
Frubgarde: Only if I'm still in the game.
tickmanfan: You mean from a game?
Ombwiri: I only mind it if it is me being eliminated
LordDarkSith: no
bkdkk: Not a big fan - would rather the people I play with be able to make it through a complete game
Hector Vortac: No problem. It's best at big conventions where the player can just start another game of something.
vlmarshall: no
heathbar: What?
jebry: it's annoying but sometimes it is workable
boldot: Not as long as I can punch them in the face when they get knocked out.
The New Romance: If I'm the last man sitting...
Chazar: Yes. It is always so difficult to find good replacements.
ciscokidnj: in games or real life
Pigs Breakfast: If I'm playing with my wife, yes.
ScottLarabee: No
Keonyn: Nope
InShaneee: No, but it can be frustrating. Having some way for their death 'not to be in vain' helps.
POvidiusNaso: Sometimes.
DHEK: Only if it's for fast games, otherwise it's no fun for those who get kicked out.
DataRaven: no
william_henshaw: no
theaney: Generally, yes. But if it is short and the crowd's is amendable, it can be OK.
MightyMike: not late in the game
PsyJam: Not really, as long as someone isn't eliminated right away and has to wait around for 2 hours while everyone else finishes up
sdonohue: As long as the elimination is near the end, I'm okay with it.
Elf__Man: no
Redbeardin84: nope. I encourage it regardless of the rules
Nef_: No, as long as it's not random and not likely to happen very early.
MochaKimono: Depends.
midnightferret: Nope. Unless it's me who's eliminated. Then I mind.
andreww: I have a preference against it, but it doesn't rule out a game...
vampywife: not for tournaments
Sektor: No
Walsfeo: Not as long as they do it in the bathroo... oh, in a game? Conceptually I don't mind it, but it sucks if someone can be eliminated when the game still has a long time left before it is over.
PlanetSmasher: In games longer than an hour...yes.
brainrob: Yes ... it makes the gaming experience less sociable
nibuen: no
Evendir: Yessss. I hated Monopoly for that reason long before I was brainwashed by BGG into burning copies at the stake.
godfeather: Usually I do, but there are games that people seem to be interested even if they are eliminated, like werewolf and roborally.
scribidinus: No. I like to cause it early and often.
igorl: Yes
Hoju: nope
RandomGraham: It depends on the length of the game. If the game lasts more than half an hour beyond the time the first player is eliminated then this is a bad game.
hkishel: No
confuse_a_cat: In short games, I hardly notice. In long games, it's a bit of a bummer unless there is something for eliminated players to do.
dietevil: in a short game, no. in a long game, yes
bigbadsteve: not in most cases
Fawkes: No.
Loquutus: Not at all.

noon: Not when it happens to other people.
davedanger: IT SUCKS
gamesbook: Not if I do not get eleminated.
mats-k: No.
ssmooth: Yes, but I'm not a fanatic about it. Sometimes a game only works by eliminating the losers one at a time.
Jim_P: Yes... worst game mechanic... ever.
Great Dane: yes
archduke: depends on the amount of time left in the game. If a player gets eliminated 30 minutes into a 3 hour game, that is no fun for anyone.
GrandpaDave: Nah
Bandit Ripshawd: Nope. Love
obob: it's an important part of many games
jellospike: I don't mind when it's at the very end of the game. In Lord of the Rings, player elimination is actually fun and heroic :)
chockle: no
dakarp: Not if there are other games to join.
Lord_Prussian: Yes, but I'll still play games that have it.
scriptorum: As long as it's not fatal, sure. In longer games it can be annoying though.
skrutsch: depends on how long the game lasts after somebody gets out, or if it's interesting to watch.
familygaming: I dislike player elimination unless the game is designed to end quickly thereafter (Bucket King, BANG!)
GopherKH: No
BaSL: kinda
hobbes_inc: n
meshuggener: no
ThatFalafelGirl: no
The Unbeliever: 42
goldenboat: Depends on the player.
fizzix: Only if they are annoying.
Sceadeau: It's only a good mechanic if it is near the end of the game. Or if the game is too short for anyone to notice
DangerMouse: Yes, it bugs me watching the light in other player's eyes go dim as I off them.
thoia: nope
ptper: depends on how it's handled
Brother Narsis: depends on the length of the game, short no, long yes
2amp: no
snoozefest: y
jens_hoppe: Depends on the game (eg. in Titan I have no problem with it). I do mind "almost-player" elimination, where a player's chance to win are eliminated early on, but the player is still forced to play on...
kimapesan: If the player is annoying, heck no.
Quest22: No
simon craddock: no
Asmoridin: Sometimes it's a necessary evil.
steadym: I try to avoid it, unless the game is reasonably short
nexttothemoon: Well I prefer all participating until the end...but if a game is fairly short...well under an hour...I suppose it's ok.
xlorp: You first
seanp: Depends on the crowd, and the setting
puffinge: It's ok if the game is not overly long, like Liar's Dice
Johan: Would prefer not having it, but if it is a good game that isn't too long it can be OK.
hibikir: Yes, it's a bad idea
heli: o je
Wintergoblin: no
Cromaa: No as I usually play 2 player games
revans66: NO
ValJor: Yes, a lot. I'd rather not play a game that features this problem
redhuntingcap: i do, usually. there are a few games with player elimination that i manage to enjoy, however.
MisterCranky: Hell no
djlg: Yes, unless the game is short.
PopeBrain: yes, it sucks.
Ryno8: sometimes
Thornn: Depends on the length of the game.
Dave: No, but such games will only be played in very limited settings.
isolated: No. Just you need to have something set up for the eliminated players to do until the game ends.
dbmurph22: not at all...it's a consequence that provides good motivation....that is unless there's something better to do then it screws up the whole game....
kennyb: isnt this why euro games are superior to their (north american) competitors?
viogression: If it's a short game, then no.
sumo: Yes.
chaddyboy_2000: No.
gnomehome: Not in a quick game, but I object in a long (30' +) game
tragicpoet: No, as long as it isn't me
louiseh: I don't mind too much but it can be a pain sometimes.
BobDodgerBlue: No
CDRodeffer: In long games, I hate it. In short games, it's tolerable.
P.O.G.G.: not a big fan unless it is a short game
ynnen: As long as they flush afterward
Blackwind: yes..who wants to watch other people play.
jttm: Sometimes
skelebone: I'm not too keen on it, but it can be o.k. if the game ends quickly.

Spielfreak: yes. I prefer to retain as many of my player friends as possible.
