Blackwind: As a child of the pre 80's, did you ever make up your own game using green army men? Did it invovle firecrackers?

Alie D: No, but I did use little plastic gnomes. And no firecrackers! Why would anyone want to harm a innocent little gnome? ;-)

Baylow: Sure did! No firecrackers, but plenty of cowboys and indians were involved.
Wind Lane: No on both accounts. I did make tunnels in the dirt for the army men to use though, so I guess I had modular terrain of a sort.
Felimid: Yes to both. Usually the green army men ended about 20 feet up in a nearby tree. Somehow they were rarely hurt by the firecrackers. But much safer than mixing human-produced methane with Bic lighters.
pwilz: Well, we did this thing called 'Lizard Basic Training' that involved similar things.

DS615: I still play with green army men. Painted of course, but there's no cheaper way to assemble enough troops for a double blind game.

puffinge: Yea, we played fort. We built forts with odd pieces of wood and placed the army men in or on it. Then we threw shoe heels at each other's forts trying to knock the army men down. It was great.
nouge: Never did, actually. Maybe I just never owned enough army men. I just had one guy with a parachute, which pretty meant my recreation involved getting to the highest place I could so I could watch him plummet to earth.
