¿Question #1634?
TiNYTimIDFluffYBunnY: NASA- what good have they done ? what will they do?
ocdspectrum: They make things go.
MARCUSRPG: I suggest you study the history of the past 60 years. Pay special attention to scientific discoveries.
Woelf: *Sigh* Imagine what they could do with an actual budget, not the leftover scraps they've been stuck with for years.
Jythier: Bought Tang!
michaelreneer: Insperation, innovation, emplyment, new products, hope, future... with the joker we got now, probably not much.
theLostShirt: Well that space pen, ridiculous.
Rygel: It is fun to watch the Space Shuttle launch. Really. Try to watch it live sometime if you can. It is great.
arkibet: I don't know. And that makes me sad.
tankexmortis: They've developed new technologies that have become useful beyond space travel. In the future I expect their technologies will help us colonize the moon and Mars, although that's assuming we manage to live that long. It'd probably help if we shut the useless bastards down for a few years and spent the money on, say, renewable energy.
Abigail: They invented velcro.
dunne: 1) Gave Werner von Braun and his colleagues the chance to implement their dream project: landing on the moon. 2) Nothing.
DKahnt: went to the moon
KakarisMaelstrom: They predicted we'll all die from asteriods. This produced the movie Armageddon, though, so it's kind of a mixed bag. What will they do? Probably save the human race from extinction.
samidha: they have found organic matter on mars, which is creepy and cool.
bigbadsteve: tang
Wanderer08: they have advanced our knowledge of space, and they will send a pop tarte where no pop tarte has gone before!
DHEK: They have advanced space science. They will do more space explorations and bring us further than before.
xlorp: Blasphemer! How soon you forget the blessed sacrament of Tang
aleo09: launced stuff into space. launch more stuff.
dougpartridge: I've heard that they're a useless waste of tax payers money and space exploration should be privatised. That's what people say, anyway.
GrimJester: More good than any other large-scale human endeavor. They will save humanity from self-extinction.
Blacknightjj: gotten a couple people into space, some on the moon, blown up 3 shuttle crews.......hopefully the cure for cancer.
scriptorum: They've directed scientific research and growth, pushed the limits of what we as a human race feel capable of, and united a country (moon mission). They will continue to explore boundaries and the mysteries of the universe. I'm serious, I believe in this shit. More NASA funding!
WildBil: Nasa is a great travel destination. Warm, and the people are friendly.
Beelzebub: Sent a man to the moon and delivered him safely back to Earth.
Dorque: Nope. Spend more money for no reason.
nexttothemoon: They went to the moon and got moon rocks...moon rocks are cool.
WatchmanX2000: most of the technology you use today came about because of NASA's research efforts. Just about every form of modern plastic, computers, modern fabrics, understanding of human ergonomics, medicines, advances in everything from housing to printing, so much technology has come out of NASA that most modern science now traces through them in one way or another in the last 40 years. They'll stop soon as their funding is cut. Private companies don't do research much any longer without government grants to push it.
brainrob: Who really cares?
Dhunam: Spend money
Chris Page: Tang promoters.
jellospike: Technologies, man on the moon, better knowledge of the universe. They will do the same, but more so, I guess.
billgoode: Well, they landed on the moon. That was pretty cool.
Loquutus: Plastics, ceramics, biology. They have made advances in a number of areas that affect all aspects of our life.
MochaKimono: MemoryFoam matresses!
POvidiusNaso: That's what I want to know.
GrandpaDave: Got us to the moon. Get us to Mars
kimapesan: Hubble - good.
MisterCranky: Their fake moon landing was impeccable! Soon they plan to interpret "Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?" as a musical.
sourwyrm: put a man on the moon
Lord_Prussian: Put a man on the moon, I suppose. Hard to say what is coming up.
Mease19: Lots!
skrutsch: You know, I really don't know. I'm sure a lot of scientific discoveries have been made because of NASA.
Cavedog_pdx: NASA helped win the cold war. Now I think they're just looking around.
Belash: nothing recently
mrbeankc: They expanded our knowledge of the universe
Gecko23: Voyager, the rovers, Apollo. Get dismantled.
kennyb: Fly me to the moon
BaSL: some nice movies are made with NASA in it
familygaming: Done? Not qualified to answer. Will do? With any luck, let me start the first church on any forthcoming moon colony.
2amp: well, teflon was a bi-product of the space program
meshuggener: Microwave oven were a good start...
ThatFalafelGirl: Hubble
glookose: well ...they faked a moon landing ...maybe they will fake a mars landing too.
erli: They've sent men to the moon. What good will they do? Not much considering they're having a lot of their funding cut
djlg: They've kept you americans distracted from the problems down here. (Opium for the people #17)
melissa: Moon! Mars! Exploring the galaxy. wow.
Jern: A lot - a lot
snoozefest: Tang; Tang Light
heli: you try going to the moon on your own
gnomehome: Hard to tell really, I'm impressed with the Mars robots.
ValJor: They have gone to the moon. They will go to Mars. These are the stepping stones to conquer the stars
BobDodgerBlue: Moon landing, Mars landing
GuyHill: Landing on the moon. I hope they get off their butts and start doing their job!
Toxidyne: They have become a bureaucracy allowing people like Burt Rutan to do great things quickly!
AlorielLelyn: They have encouraged dreams. Caused Science to advance at a greater rate. Caused Science Fiction to reach new levels. As to what they will do... Hopefully build a colony on Mars, so I can get off this rock.
dietevil: Furthering science, yada yada, blew up some people
louiseh: No-one else is doing it.
chaddyboy_2000: They've visited places.
skelebone: Tang, that's it.
solove: They faked a moon landing
jttm: I hear they have an impressive film studio :P
ynnen: They've discovered a lot about the universe -- but that doesn't always translate into helping with more terrestrial concerns
CDRodeffer: I like NASA
Blackwind: about what?
