MadGonzo: Do you think human cloning should be legal?
Penguin_Hatcher: i always have a hard time answering questions like that
dsmeyer: yes
runderhoning: This depens, cloning body parts should be legal, this to help people who have had an accident etc..
MisterCranky: yes, but if a sheep ever tries to clone me, I'm calling the cops.
dengue: Only for certain "Elites" selected by a committee of Russian and German Black Ops Generals for the sole express purpose of taking violent control of the Saturnine Moons and the completion of a Giant Lasor thereon.
PopeBrain: yes
Greedo: Only if we can clone them without heads or brains. Then I'd feel they didn't have potential for consciousness and therefore they would just be matter. Not human.
Belash: no.
Ripkil: As much as I may love science, population is expanding too fast as it is, so, no.
FrozenHoHos: You think identity theft is a concern now?
jasta6: Absolutely not..... Careful what you start..........

Kazin: Yes. Technology = god.
bigbadsteve: nah. stop and think about who could afford it. do we really need more of these people running around?
korppu: Yes
melissa: not at this stage of development
Fawkes: I think there needs to be a lot more discussion and debate over it instead of letting a few people decide for the world.
acetate3: sure... i love it when science fiction comes true
skrebs: Only for the rich and powerful.
Loquutus: With strict guidelines, yes

Dr. No: no way
Cerebus: Yes.
Thedalek: Yes, and I think we'll learn a lot of things we didn't want to, like the fact that a lot of things aren't genetic after all.
POvidiusNaso: Of course! Sheesh...
KineticKill: No
yossarians: yep
CharlieWonka: no
sourwyrm: sure
ssmooth: Sure, why not?
Lord_Prussian: No
Gecko23: Sure.
Ludocrazy: No way!
Snappatoon: Look what happened in Star Wars
dakarp: Definitely, for therapeutic purposes. I don't even have a major problem with it for reproductive purposes--a clone is no more similar to the original than an identical twin. Probably they'd be more different because they would be raised in totally different environments. And anyone who has known identical twins knows that even twins can be very different.
AWildEep: nope

Bearcat89: Absolutely not.
DenverWolf: No
pkreynolds: Sure.
djlg: Yes.
puffinge: I never like to inhibit technology, but that's a tough one.
ValJor: Only for medical purposes
g3lutz: I certainly think it should be tried. It would be better if it were controlled. Could cloning become the best source for replacement parts? How many sad stories have we heard of that little girl who needed a heart transplant but couldn't find a donor. There are a lot questions to answer like "Will clones have rights?" "Will it be legal to kill a clone?" "If not, will you be able to declare bankruptcy if you can no longer afford your clone?" Will there be a "Free the Clone" movement a hundred years from now? Equal rights for Clones! "We are people too."
