I'm not a particular fan of his (even though I am a Republican), but it drives me nuts when people call him stupid. Does being a poor public speaker make him stupid? Does having a political view that differs from yours make him stupid? You know what I'm sick of? But more importantly, half the voting population thought he was very president-like and totally rad, therefore if Bush is a moron half the country pulls down the average IQ from 100 to something much lower, thereby making Bush smarter. QED.

confuse_a_cat: A fair number of people do, probably. He's not the smartest guy, occasionally misspeaks, and commits the occasional faux pas. He makes bad decisions sometimes. He's no moron, though. People get on his case because they oppose him politically, but the man isn't stupid. His mistakes are accentuated because of his position and the charged political atmosphere.
