puffinge: What's your fondest memory from an Infocom text adventure?

Spirit of 70: Solving Zork II without ever using a walkthrough.
Narl: Never having encountered it is quite a fond memory of mine.
alcazar84: Playing Wishbringer while listening to Then and Now, the Best of the Monkees. I can't listen to a Monkees song without thinking about that little mailbox on a pole hopping around me! Seriously, I will forever link the two with each other!
Woelf: The time I entered a room and found an object on a table. (I took the object.)
xofour: It was solving the Hitchhikers Guide to The Galaxy "getting out of the ship" puzzle I think. That's really the only true memory I can think of other than vaguely playing zork & others.

jbuergel: I think it was probably getting through the time travel maze in Sorcerer, although getting the hot balloon puzzle sorted in Zork 2 ranks up there.

ZeroZilla: Having the rules bent, in The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, when accepting a towel (which you needed, in the book) from Ford Prefect meant INSTANT DEATH.

MisterCranky: There are too many fond memories to possibly have a fondest one. My least favorite took place during Planetfall, however, when I realized I no longer had the slightest interest in my previously-beloved text adventures.
