¿Question #220643?
Fribian: What got you started playing board games, and do you remember playing your first game?
mattomaw: I have always played board games for as long as I remember. My earliest memory was playing a game called Scream Inn.
kswingruber: I can remember begging my mom to play "Cootie" again and again at a very young age... before I could read, so maybe I was 4? 5?
freechinanow: I've told the story before, so I'll keep it short this time. I played the usual assortment of kiddie games back in my earliest years. But it was that damn HeroQuest commercial in 1991 that shifted my perpective of board games. I remember saving up my allowance to buy it ($24.99 at Zellers). Bought expansions, similar themed games like Dark World and Key to the Kingdom. My first game? No, can't remember that. But I know we had Snakes & Ladders, Scrabble, and Yahtzee at home in those earliest of years. So probably one of those.
