¿Question #220900?
PolarDad: HONEST ADVICE needed... I have had very little experience buying stuff off Ebay. I recently purchased something. The seller sent me a picture of the package the day he intended to ship it. He only had my name and town, state, zip code...no street address. I messaged him back about the partial address. He claimed he corrected it but the package still has not arrived. There is no tracking number. I messaged him this morning and he told me to go ask at the Post Office about it. What are my next steps to getting my money back? ...if possible.
Tim%20Synge: File a claim with eBay, Paypal and Daniel Karp.
Blinko: I would make sure you allow enough time to lapse for the shipping. Especially if international.
RealGuest: If enough time has passed from shipping that you should have received it, even with slowdowns or mixups. And you go to the post office to verify they are not holding a package for you (without a street address?!). And you paid by PayPal, right? I'd make a claim on PayPal and ask for your money back.
Woelf: It is worth checking at the post office, but why the hell would anyone ship anything without a street address? If the zip code had the four-digit extension that would get it pretty close, but not guaranteed. There are also the slowdown issues with USPS in general, both because of pandemic/supply issues and because of dejoy still purposely trying to make it slower because reasons. How long has it been since it was supposedly shipped? (Also there's no good excuse for a lack of a tracking number either. That's pretty much standard for everything now that isn't a stamped envelope.) As for getting a refund, eBay should have some sort of policies in place on how to pursue that. More drastic would be contacting your credit card company or whatever else you used to make the payment.
