¿Question #220902?
mattomaw: When GQing on your phone, do you find that your language is more fleshed out because you type words like "cannot" and "it is" because titting around doing apostrophes and the like is a pain in Uranus?

MABBY: A always leave "autocorrect" and "suggest text" off, and type out each word, and use proper punctuation. Even if it is a pain in the planet, so to speak. Because doing it correctly matters.
pricero1: The apostrophe is a beautiful thing - look after it and it will look after you.
TomTi89: I type by swiping my fingers across every letter I wish to use, rather than typing as such. You may or may not recognise the name Swype, though that's not updated anymore. Anyway, if I want to use "can't", then I just swipe across those letters, and it puts the apostrophe in for me. This method has a downside though - it can be like autocorrect on steroids. You really have to be observant as to which words it has selected. Eg, if I want to say "small" it sometimes says "anal". Finally, I am more likely to completely omit random words when typing on my phone compared to on PC for some reason.
oriecat: I don't usually GQ on my phone.
RealGuest: My auto-correct often inserts apostraphes whether I like it or not. I can't decide if it is a catapostraphe or an apostrocalypse.
Woelf: The neat thing about having a really crappy old phone is that it's actually quicker to use apostrophes than to write out longer contractions, especially when doubled-up letters are involved.
