¿Question #221205?
Blinko: Why is health insurance so hard?
Woelf: It's not, but many decades of foxnews and gop propaganda/bullshit has trained a significant percentage of the population to oppose, sometimes violently, anything and everything that could be even slightly beneficial to the population in general. ADDED: They didn't necessarily create the problem, but they've done everything possible to prevent it from being fixed or even improved in meaningful ways. For-profit healthcare is a scourge against humanity.
pricero1: Universal healthcare is easier.
Blinko: Health insurance fell off the rails when I was a kid. Used to be people paid for doctor visits themselves and insurance came into play for broken arms and such. Also, doctors prescribed necessary procedures rather than multiple MRIs on my 90 year old father who would never survive anesthesia if they ever discovered anything. This wasn’t all fox news and the gop.
magikaru: Murica
Woelf: It's not, but many decades of foxnews and gop propaganda/bullshit has trained a significant percentage of the population to oppose, sometimes violently, anything and everything that could be even slightly beneficial to the population in general.
pwilz: Send me $800 a month, and I'll tell you.
RavingLoon: Because business is business, and profitable procedures are good business.
oriecat: Because our system is stupid and designed for profit instead of health care.
