RavingLoon: The obvious best answer is assorted lettuces, sliced raw carrots, radishes, and a meat (steak, chicken, pork, salmon, shrimp, etc), topped with a vinaigrette, preferably an onion one but others work as well.,
PolarDad: I usually enjoy simplicity in a salad. One of my favorites is romaine, baby spinach, green olives, balsamic vinaigrette, and croutons.
