Phil%20Fleischmann: A "security system" screen in the kitchen that showed a view of the living room. In case you were in the kitchen, and wanted to see what was happening in the living room, but you didn't want to take three steps or turn your head to look.
TomTi89: At my last job, an older couple invited me to their house to play poker. Long story there, and it was all legit. Anyway, I had thought they would be minimalists. So wrong. They had so much stuff, but it never felt like clutter. More like a museum or something. In a window near the front door was a large model of a servant, which apparently used to move and speak. In the room where we played poker they had a fruit machine (aka 'slots'). They had a sign from an old pub I used to walk past as a child. The whole place was weird, but cool. They've moved now, and we still see them sometimes. Their new place is a little less weird but still very, very cool.
