PolarDad: For those curious about my recent purchase... 'Betrayal Legacy' I did not care for Betrayal at house on the hill for multiple reasons. My family really likes legacy so I pondered getting it years ago when it came out but decided against it. My youngest loved the original base game and asked for the legacy version for the last couple years. I noticed someone on a local Facebook market page selling a punched/unplayed copy for $25. I talked her down to $15. I believe the MRSP was $75. I figure it is a cheap enough price that I can deal with not finishing it if I hate it. Right?

puffinge: I hate the original game. I'm soso on legacy games in general. But, hey, if it makes a child happy...
imyourskribe: My problem with Betrayal is that the rules are so wonky that I have to re-learn them every time I go to play it again. If playing it frequently enough to make it through a campaign, that might solve that particular issue for me. But I don’t like legacy/campaign board games, so that opens a whole new can of worms.
RavingLoon: I've made far more objectional board gaming purchases, so getting something you know will at least get played seems like a good deal to me.
Woelf: If your child(ren) like it, it's worth getting, especially at that price. If *you* don't like it, make sure it goes along with your child when they eventually move out.
