PolarDad: Do Alaskan schools ever have "snow days" where school is cancelled? If so, how much snow is needed to cancel school?

0Shea0: If it rains on snow and freezes, we get a 2 hour delay for the sanders to sand intersections. I've driven through a foot and a half of fresh snow to get to school though. If we stopped for snow and cold no one would do anything.
