mattomaw: Have you ever played The Crew with a frenchman/woman only to realise that they play weird rules about what to do if you cannot follow suit, thus blowing your mind's preconceptions about gaming across the globe?

rayzg: It might be because she plays Tarot or Belote, and the French apparently have conventions of what to play if you can't follow suit.
mattomaw: @woelf - I cannot fully remember, but when I trumped when not being able to follow suit, he said that was not allowed and I had to discard some rubbish and lose the trick. Something like that anyway.
Woelf: Then they're not playing The Crew correctly, because the rulebook does explain what you can and cannot do when following suit isn't possible. What's different about the French method?
