¿Question #222881?
PolarDad: Started introducing Canada to my 6th graders today. One of the male students in the back of the class said "I afraid of Canadians". I said "Why? Most Canadians have a reputation for being nice." He said "Because they kidnap people when they try to buy their maple syrup at the store." I was like ..."What?!" He said "Yeah, they kidnap them and then turn the kidnapped people into maple syrup. That's where it comes from!" I did not know this fact. Can a Canadian GQer please confirm or deny this manufacturing process?
0Shea0: The niceness is part of the trap!
freechinanow: 6th grade Okies is a particularly good vintage.
MABBY: MWAAAHHHHHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA!!! Er, I mean, nope. Never heard of that.
RavingLoon: Considering we already established that Jedadeana is either a witch or Mattomaw's cat, this doesn't surprise me.
Woelf: Where else are they going to get maple syrup? It's not like that stuff grows on trees!
rayzg: I recently bought a can of maple syrup (yes, a can, not a fancy glass bottle) and no one kidnapped me. There have been stories of people stealing truckloads of maple syrup, though.
pricero1: So Juliette's addiction has led to the death of countless innocents?
