¿Question #222900?
PolarDad: The heater in my part of the building at my morning school has not been working correctly all winter. It hasn't even come on this week. It has been 56 F in the three classrooms affected (mine included). Students are wearing coats and hats in class. I work at one of the best school systems in Oklahoma. This is one example of what it means to teach in a state near the bottom of state funding in education for over 50 years. Would you like to come teach here?

0Shea0: If I get this admin job in the fall, I will be hiring two teachers....then you can wear shorts and t-shirts in our 56 degree building because it's -10 outside and 56 is an absolute heat wave. (But yeah that sucks)
RealGuest: Can't get away with that here. It's only a 8 degrees here today.
magikaru: That’s pretty messed up…
pricero1: You get what you pay for.
RavingLoon: I'd be an awful teacher! Good luck though.
Woelf: I don't even want to teach *here* because of all of the dipshit parents and political bullshit teachers have to fight through just to do their jobs. Also the shit pay and lousy benefits. You're doing noble work sticking with it, especially there.
