PolarDad: As something approaches the speed of light, time slows down. Time in a hospital crawls by at a slower pace than anywhere else I know. Does that mean all hospitals are moving at the speed of light? To be honest, people don't seem to be in that big of a hurry here. Not complaining...just marveling at the physics phenomenon.

TomTi89: As a member of staff, time in a hospital can seem to go by very fast. Sometimes I am also a patient in the same hospital, and then time does indeed seem to stop.
pricero1: You're not looking at the whole picture. For patients, time slows, but for all the staff, time speeds up.
PolarDad: @Matt- Good idea but I can't. Sitting with mom. They still haven't taken her back. She is nervous and needs the company. ADDED: You're very kind, dude. She said she isn't sure about a favorite food. She likes a good hamburger quite a bit.
BOBBYCAN: Time would stop at the speed of light, which would be good. No one would suffer or die, while outside the hospital people would continue working on cures. Very science-fictiony.
mattomaw: Go for a walk outside PD.ADDED/////@PD - Tell her I am wishing her well and that she is in very good hands so not to worry. Tell her she has brought her son up well as well. Ask her, from me, what is her favourite food?
