¿Question #223173?
PolarDad: If you quit your job today, how long do you think it would take for your employer to replace you?

imyourskribe: Probably a few months. There are a lot of engineers, and my team interviews competently. They would have no problem getting a bunch of resumes and turning them into interviews.
pwilz: The graveyards are filled with irreplacable men.
notafish: I work for the government so...2 or 3 years.
mattomaw: I quit two years ago and they still have not.
bakermouse: Not long,.....but it would require at least 3 people to replace me.
BOBBYCAN: I'm not bragging, but there's just literally nobody there who could do it, and they can't hire people from outside. Not many would want it anyway.
TheNameWasTaken: A coworker of mine left a month and a half ago, and she still hasn't been replaced.
Woelf: I'd rather not think about it, but probably less time than I'd expect. Training would take a while, though.
RealGuest: The whole place would go under without me
pricero1: My wife would find it hard to get someone else like me.
