Woelf: Nah. The Necromancer character in Diablo II was always fun to play in the earlier levels, but by the time you got to the later acts, and especially the higher difficulties, all of the creatures you could summon seemed like they would drastically outpaced by the new enemies you went up against, so you pretty much fall back to relying on direct spells constantly, which basically turned him into a Sorcerer, except weaker and much less interesting.
