¿Question #223392?
pricero1: Do you understand why you get thumbs when you get thumbs?
Woelf: When it's not from someone who auto-thumbs everything, I assume it's because they found what I wrote humorous, helpful, or worthwhile in some other way. Spite thumbing isn't a thing, because there's no way to distinguish it from normal thumbing.
MABBY: I assume it is because someone is kind enough to let me know that they read my comment. That's why *I* give a lot of thumbs out.
mr3d: The mind of a GQ Geek is unpredictable, and that is what keeps this place interesting.
PolarDad: I try to give them to every GA on my GQs unless I really don't care for the answer. I rarely give them on GAs to other people's GQs if I come across them and find them extra delightful...for different reasons. If a GA makes me laugh out loud or inspires me in a special way, I tip. I honestly don't pay a ton of attention to the ones I get other than seeing they are there.
pricero1: It always seems counterintuitive to me.
