mattomaw: I was, and still am, totally stuck today. I was taking apart a celtic cross memorial because I have made a new one. I could not get the damn thing apart. Got the cross off but the bases are such big stones that are doweled together and I can not cut deep enough to cut them. So I have made a complete mess at the site with these half smashed and damaged stones leaning all over the place in the churchyard. It looks extremely unsightly and unprofessional, and it is Sunday tomorrow so that is the day the church goers look around the cemetery, with my big splatty mess in the middle of it. I have to think of a solution in the next couple of days because I am really stuck. Bottom line is just to smash it all to bits with a sledge hammer but they are really nice crafted bits! Don't want to do that if I can help it.
