mattomaw: I need to buy some underpants. I am in the shop now, but the choice is too much. Trunks, hipsters, woven, jersiee, slips, briefs, boxers, etc etc. I cannot cope. What are all these things? I just want some underpants! When did underpants stop just being underpants?

pricero1: What I recommend is this. Pull down your trousers / pants in the shop and point at your existing underpants and say, "Can I have more like this, please?" Let us know how you get on.
