¿Question #223697?
rayzg: Do you frequently ignore the directions provided by Google Maps? I ignore them more often during the winter as Google has no idea which bike paths are closed because of the snow (and some bike paths I simply don’t want to take).
TheNameWasTaken: I never look at the google maps directions - I only use it to look up where the destination is and to get an estimated distance, but I always make up my own routes. But I only use google maps when I'm walking or cycling, and then I can always recheck the map if I'm not 100% sure. When driving I use Waze instead (I prefer its UI), and that one I follow almost religiously.
Woelf: I rarely use the actual directions, and prefer to zoom in on the map and sketch out my own route. Some of the streets/roads/exits immediately before and after the actual turn are super useful to have, because you can't always slow down to look as you're passing through.
