PolarDad: My child asked for something weird for dinner. She claims that the school cafeteria sometimes makes "Tater tot nachos". Imagine all the traditional nacho ingredients but pile them on tater tots instead of tortilla chips. I gave in and am preparing the unhealthy abomination for dinner tonight. What bizarre thing has your kid asked you to make for dinner that you obliged? (If you don't have a kid, supplement food requests from spouses, significant others, friends, roommates, pets, whatever)

Ruesailmana: We used to cook meat with cola some times, which I thought was weird, and recently I actually found such a recipe in a colombian cooking book.
magikaru: I’m still trying to figure out what the heck “Italian Dunkers” are supposed to be. Apparently it’s like a cheese-filled bread that you dip into marinara sauce, but completely different.
Woelf: My youngest often asks for "pizza bread", which is basically just a buttered piece of bread (not toast) with some pepperoni and shredded cheese on it, then microwaved for about 30 seconds.
Grimsalt: My friend wanted to impress her fancy new french GF with Lv10 cooking skills, so we split the meal. She made steak and crudities, I made potato casserole "au gratin dauphinois". The meat got dry and burnt, but the potatoes went swimmingly. We're no longer friends.
