hancock.tom: probably never. Some already have. I think it will require a board game company with a really unique design and marketing scheme to get past the "thats not monopoly" bias non-gamers seem to have.

billgoode: I don't think that they will any time soon. Life is becoming more and more fast paced and based on instant-gratification. Board gaming tends not to satisfy this.
