¿Question #224248?
rayzg: Do you have a friend or relative who, when you ask them for product recommendations, usually suggests stupidly expensive stuff? I asked my brother to recommend me a rice cooker, and he suggested one made by Zojirushi that costs $300! A no-frills, one-button version costs $40 and works perfectly fine!

RealGuest: I would stop asking pretty quickly
TomTi89: It's the opposite with me and my wife. I suggest something, and she finds the better price or discount, or convinces me I/we don't need it anyway.
Ruesailmana: Yes. Only the best for some. And well, looking at Vimes 'Boots' theory of socioeconomic unfairness there is something to say for going for the more expensive option IF it is also better and will stay with you longer. However, in current times I wonder if those items won't outlive us anyway.
0Shea0: Wait till you find out how cheap a pot is!
