¿Question #224303?
Narlgoth: Cotton Tshirts- some are delicate and smooth, others course and almost scratchy, and yet they are all cotton! How can the same material vary so much?

pricero1: The thread size varies. The weaving process varies. The dyes and their auxilleries vary. And lastly the finishing chemicals vary. Those in the field talk about the "handle" of a piece of fabric, which is exactly what you're talking about.
Woelf: It's because of whatever other materials they use to thin out the cotton, like asbestos and fiberglass.
Grimsalt: I suppose it varies with the age of the sweatshop ; children have delicate hands, and more fingers.
