¿Question #224426?
rayzg: Are you jealous of all the kids TV programming that’s available now? I grew up with cartoons that lacked sophisticated humour or irony.
Grimsalt: You're joking, right? Everything since Barney the Dinosaur is garbage.
Chris%20Page: When I grew up, that was the job for Sesame Street. (An honest answer to why cartoons have improved so much is a much longer answer, but the advantage is you can watch the new stuff right now.)
pwilz: Oh, come on. I've seen "The Big Snit!"
mattomaw: No. Who can top Bagpuss, The Clangers, Noggin the Nog and all those 70s UK kids programmes. They were the best! Todays ones just seems really full on and manic.
Ruesailmana: No, I loved the cartoons and series of my time. But these times have some great ones as well...
MABBY: The cartoons I watched had plenty of sophisticated humor but I was too young and stupid to recognize it.
Woelf: No, not at all. Shows like Transformers, G.I.Joe, M.A.S.K., TMNT, and such were great for their time, but even though the writing doesn't match up to a lot of "kids" stuff that's available now, I wouldn't have appreciated it much back then.
