Woelf: If there was verifiable proof that this would happen, and/or there was any sort of memory of past lives, it might just make things worse because the insanely rich and powerful would try to put systems in place to identify themselves and set things up for subsequent rounds, in some sort of nepotistic reincarnation cycle. Granted, if the randomness was scattered across all species and not just humans, it would be less of a concern.
MABBY: The sheer capacity for human selfishness and not-give-a-crap attitude for what we do in the world tells me that things would turn out exactly the same.
