TomTi89: I try. I mean well, and am very good with talking to people when they feel positive or neutral, but when someone is unhappy, I am not as naturally good or empathetic as some other people. It comes more easily if the person is a friend or family member, but if you're an acquaintance or stranger and explain to me that something bad is happening, I'm so sorry if I look a little vacant while I try to think about what to say! Not great when I've spent most of my working life so far interacting with customers and patients :p
