RealGuest: What do you do while you're waiting at the airport?

Grimsalt: 1. Stretch my legs often to prevent DVTs. 2. Mini window-shopping excursions to have a laugh at Duty Free. 3. Pinch my lips frequently to assess self-inflicted dehydration level versus uncertainty of bathroom access. 4. Take note of poor parental supervision and sit far away from noisy children. 5. Keep on the lookout for sleeping babies (who invariably wake-up and cry). 6. Imagine people's medical histories : predict who's most likely to need assistance or restraining ; for what cause, for what trigger. 7. Push skin back from nails. 8. Marvel at the privilege of living here and now, compared to Third World and last century. 9. Take a moment to be grateful ; for having been given the precious gift of Life on Earth, and for everything I'm lucky enough to have had and experienced.

imyourskribe: Either stare at my phone like everybody else or play a game on a portable video gaming device (presently most likely to be the Nintendo Switch, but the Steam Deck isn't far off!
TomTi89: Try not to look suspicious, thereby actually looking suspicious. Also, last time, when coming home, I was using quite an old photo, and the airport here didn't want to let me back in. It got escalated, and my wife had already made it through, whereas I was stuck in no man's land. After only a small amount of sleep and not in the mood to not be let in, I was not impressed! They let me in eventually, thankfully, after running some checks.

Woelf: Read mostly, walk around, look out windows. Might bring along a small/portable game or two if it's expected to be a very long wait.
rayzg: Reading a book on my eReader that I borrowed from the library or doing a cryptic crossword. Often I'll treat myself to a meal at an airport restaurant.
