Grimsalt: If only! At least you get closure when a door is shut. I've been ghosted and cancelled by kids of my generation (40s) and younger : it's a lot more hurtful to be on the receiving end, and more awkward for contacts in between both parties... People these days lack basic human values, and it's only getting worse.
TomTi89: It's a slightly different saying, but I try not to burn any bridges. If anybody does close the door on me and it wasn't because of me in any way, then either A) very well, or B) maybe I need to reach out to them again. Deciding which can be tough, as you don't want to make the wrong choice!
