pricero1: Are there any Americans who sing in a British accent?

TomTi89: This one's a bit of a stretch, but hear me out. Taylor Swift [born in Pennsylvania] has apparently always been an Anglophile, and has been dating a Brit for at least 5 years, and so spends quite some time here. I haven't fully listened to her last two albums, but I've seen people saying that she is starting to sing certain words the way we would pronounce them, rather than how an American typically would. In trying to track down where I read about it, I found people saying she is starting to talk a bit like us too. Of course, to us she will still sound American, but if she starts to spend more time here, will her future songs begin to sound more and more British? Will she start singing about Yorkshire Tea and fish and chips? Only time will tell!
Josey_23: I'm always ammused by all the singer who lose their accents when they sing.
rayzg: There must be lots. I saw the musical Something Rotten on Broadway and the actor who played Shakespeare (which was the only character with a British accent) was American. I'm assuming that the most recent revival of My Fair Lady on Broadway was full of Americans singing with British accents.
