rayzg: I actually don't think so. I think there's less slavery in the world than 200 years ago. There's more awareness of indigenous people’s rights in Canada now than before. Perhaps it's going in the opposite direction -- as populations become denser, people are forced to see how other people live their lives and hopefully become more empathetic.

TomTi89: At a macro level, well, I don't want to say it, but maybe somebody might think that way. At a micro level, no, absolutely not.
