MABBY: We call 'em "cold spells". And while you can't see waves of cold in the air, you can see condensed hot air so maybe "coldsteams" are a winter thing.
Grimsalt: Interesting question! We also get cold fronts (no hot fronts) and heat shields (no cold shields).
