¿Question #225432?
Blinko: What is something you did as a kid that made you better at something later in life?

Blinko: Skateboarding helped me tremendously with balance. Picked up water skiing and snow skiing very quickly. It also helped with fencing, since the my lunges were helped by the motion of pumping the skateboard.
TomTi89: Being the banker in Monopoly, and similar roles in other games probably helped set me up for work, especially in my first job where I had to handle money.
freechinanow: Forget about the real world for a second.
mattomaw: Everything I suppose.
Chris%20Page: Watching cartoons, so I could intelligibly talk about Captain Caveman.
pricero1: Play cards.
Woelf: Various racing video games were helpful when eventually learning to drive, particularly in bad weather. Even if the physics are different, the basics of how to respond to skids and such still applied surprisingly well, and that's not something you'll generally have time to think about once it starts happening.
