¿Question #225967?
pricero1: What are your cut-off distances for changing your mode of transport?

TomTi89: I'm a little lazier than I used to be. In some ways, learning to drive was one of the best things I ever did. But, on the other hand, my acceptable walking distance has shrunk, when really I need to walk MORE!
mattomaw: Generally it is the sea.
Ruesailmana: I want to go to LA next year, but I hate it that you cannot get around properly walking, by bike and public transport. Walking: maximum 10 kilometers (unless it's a planned hike), biking: maximum 50 kilometers (on normal days), the rest is public transport preferably. I do not like cars.
Woelf: Almost anything beyond our yard requires taking a car. Up to 4-5 hours, maybe 6 or a little more with decent-length breaks works for driving. Air travel is considered for anything beyond that, but duration of time that will be spent away is a major factor there too; plus travel to an airport and rentals are factors too. I wish there was better access to rail in this area. There are a few passenger lines, but their route directions don't work for where we live.
purplewurple: Anything over a parsec I teleport.
BOBBYCAN: If there's an ocean in the way I'll take an airplane.
