¿Question #226037?
TomTi89: What's the closest you have ever come to a lightning strike?
MABBY: While golfing. I know that they say you're not supposed to take shelter under a tree, but we were exposed and one strike had everyone's hair going poofy. So we dashed to the nearest trees, and got as low as we could. Then we ran back to the clubhouse once it seemed that it was more rain than lightening in the area. It was NOT fun.
Woelf: Back when I worked at a golf course, I was inside an equipment shed when a tree right next to it got hit. I didn't feel it, but was close enough to smell the ozone.
BOBBYCAN: I'm not sure, but from the sound and the flash of light it seemed very close. I do know that a power line pole was hit a block from me once.
pricero1: I've felt the hair on my arms and legs stand up.
