¿Question #226102?
freechinanow: I’ll still see 25-cent coupons routinely for groceries. Why haven’t coupons generally grown with inflation over the past 30 years?

Chris%20Page: Because the people cutting them out think a quarter will still pay for popcorn and a double-feature.
MABBY: Why does anyone use a 25 cent coupon in the first place? I've actually given a cashier a dollar out of my pocket to cover for the woman in front of me digging in her purse looking for one, just to get her the hell out the line and out of my way.
Woelf: There are lots of things that should auto-adjust based on inflation, but don't. Record profits have grown instead.
