¿Question #226472?
rayzg: Have you seen or know of any space operas with actual singing? The closest I’ve experienced is a performance of an opera based on Copernicus’s life and a YouTube video of a production of Gilbert and Sullivan’s HMS Pinafore staged with Star Trek characters and decor.

Phil%20Fleischmann: I saw a horrible stage show called "Star Odessey" as the Stardust hotel in Las Vegas decades ago. IIRC, most of the music was pre-recorded, rather than sung live, so it might not count.
Woelf: That Gilbert & Sullivan bit was from Star Trek: Insurrection. It would not surprise me at all if there were extended clips of the cast doing more of it. // There was an old Expanded Universe/Legends Star Wars book where C3PO sang a song, now let us never speak of it again.

RealGuest: I do not. I always thought the term space opera meant an epic science fiction story, not actual singing in an opera fashion. Your examples are closer than I can come.
MABBY: Rocky Horror Picture Show, for the win.
