¿Question #226710?
Grimsalt: Do you dread replying to all the forced "Happy Birthday!" comments on your social media profile(s) every year?

Narlgoth: I set my birthday date to private so everybody forgets and doesn't bother me at all. I don't need social media gratification. I am my own god.
TomTi89: Somewhere in the settings, you can disable the notification that pops up for other people telling them about your birthday. I did that, and now only the people who really know me enough to remember or write down my birthday wish me happy birthday. It tends to mean that I only get messages from family and close friends. Colleagues will say it in person, as I'll usually tell them it's my birthday soon. While I'm here, happy birthday! :D
Grimsalt: Thank you for the B-day wishes!! Yes, I'm aware of the irony — but I'm feeling warm and fuzzy now and it's all your fault so to hell with appearances :)
imyourskribe: I killed all of my social media years ago (except for GQ I suppose), but even before that I disabled people writing on my Facebook wall and removed my birthday specifically for this reason.
BOBBYCAN: I've never had to do that. I don't think anyone here knows my birthday.
Jedadeana: It's your birthday? Yay! Happy birthday! (And no, I just do one post saying thanks for all the birthday wishes)
mattomaw: Happy birthday! (Reply required). No I don't because I have no social media things at all, except GQ.
Woelf: Happy Birthday! I don't have birthdates set up on any social media sites, so it's usually only a couple emails to reply to.
pricero1: Happy birthday, Martin! (No reply required.)
