¿Question #226777?
PolarDad: How do you pass the time in long car rides?
TheGrimReeple: I'd like to just take a nap, but the passengers keep waking me up.
TomTi89: Thinking specifically about the last one: GOING- it was dark, and the roads weren't well-lit, so I couldn't see more than a few feet/metres/whatever. Didn't know where I was going, so wife had sat-nav on phone. I just had to concentrate on following the lines, while she would give directions. No need for any additional activities to pass the time that day! RETURNING - This trip killed my car. I mean it, it got us home, but it was the final time it ever moved. We knew it might happen before we even left, so we'd checked the insurance and breakdown insurance policy. On this return trip, we could feel and hear issues. So once again, there was no need for any entertainment.
RavingLoon: Assuming I'm not driving, then reading or sleeping.
rayzg: Sleeping or looking out the window. As a kid, it used to be playing travel magnetic games. But now doing anything like that makes me dizzy.
0Shea0: GeekQuestions...i'm doing it righ hrs d c b
oriecat: Lots of fidgeting because my ass hurts
Chris%20Page: Pickleball practice.
mr3d: mostly driving
Ruesailmana: I avoid them because I get bored too quickly. Luckily the Netherlands are not like LA, so we actually have proper public transport
magikaru: Driving while the rest sleep
mattomaw: I watch the scenery and think.
BOBBYCAN: If I'm driving with music, if I'm riding then with reading.
Inkedad: 90% of the time I drive, so... white knuckling it
Inkedad: 90% of the time I drive, so... coffee, tea, nuts, jerky, & death metal
PolarDad: To those concerned, I am not driving.
RealGuest: Music, conversation, audio books, reading, car games, making up songs, looking at the scenery, day dreaming... Oh thanks a lot! Now I missed my exit again
Woelf: By paying attention to the road, because I'm almost always the one driving. Having music on helps too.
ocdspectrum: I always pass to the left, just like the duchy.
pricero1: I find that driving and keeping a watch on the traffic on the road is quite enough.
imyourskribe: If I'm with somebody, I just enjoy their company. If it's just me, I'll usually put on the discography of a band I love and just bop.
sparkous: Music when driving and Talk radio in traffic jams.
