¿Question #226817?
kswingruber: We know the “white rock spinosaurid” must have been faked, right? No way a critter that big could ever live on an island that small. Exactly how did Pricey pull off the hoax?
mattomaw: What is so special about this? There is a huge plastic dinosaur at Blackgang Chine as far as I can remember, so it is not the first massive dinosaur on the island.
pricero1: The island only became an island within human history (there are remains of human habitation in the sea between the island and the mainland). It is quite cool to have the largest meat-eating dinosaur in Europe found here on the island.
TomTi89: He said something about going to the mainland. I picture him giggling the whole journey, thinking he'd managed to pull it off.
TomTi89: He said something about returning to the mainland. I picture him giggling the whole journey, thinking he'd managed to pull it off.

Grimsalt: That WOULD explain why he only posted a single GQ today : he must be on the dig site right now, presenting fakes in white gloves to bigwigs and kingpins. I think they're white rock / duck bone composite.

Woelf: The floating bridge was a lot more reliable back when that dinosaur was alive, so getting to and from the island was no big deal.
